Nicole E.Podio Bio
Nicole Podio, art jeweler, has been living in Turin, Italy, since the year 2000. She currently teaches English part-time at the University of Turin, as well as at a private language school. Recently she has become a member of the newly founded Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo, a society of art jewelers and gallery owners intent on creating more opportunities for people who make art jewelry in Italy. The AGC (www.agc-it.org) organizes exhibitions, and plans workshops and lectures to help expand awareness in Italy of the world of art jewelry.

Before moving to Italy in 2000, Nicole completed a Master's Degree in Fine Art with a concentration in metals and jewelry at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Prior to that she worked as head designer for a private label clothing manufacturer, where she applied the knowledge gained from her Bachelor's degree in apparel design from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Although originally from Austin, Texas (where her family is still located), Nicole has had the opportunity to travel to many places throughout the globe. Travel remains her most passionate hobby because of the incredible opportunities for new experiences it offers.
